Patron Saint Of Plagues is a devious concoction of haunting melodies and ghoulish rhythms stitched together with the distorted accuracy of a nefarious mind.

Patron Saint Of Plagues was envisioned in the frigid Canadian winter of 2006 by a mysterious character known as Opi Saint. The project began as years of rough sketches, short stories, and disjunct lyrics that represented the chaotic state of Opi’s mind. In May of 2006 Opi met Anndy Burniston, an aspiring producer/songwriter who believed that he could aim Opi’s destructive creativity in the right direction. Thus Patron Saint Of Plagues was born. Opi approached his brother Ezzo Saint about joining the project as he was well versed in musical technology, but Ezzo would only participate so long as he could keep his identity private. He donned a mask and PSOP entered the studio for the first time. Shortly after they began the recording process, the three were plagued by the death of a close friend and it was decided that a change of scene was necessary. After tracking only three rough demo’s the recording was abandoned and PSOP moved to Toronto.

In Toronto, a direction was developed for the project and Patron Saint Of Plagues began honing their recording techniques. Despite a slew of drawbacks, two records were released. The first was an LP "The Fires That Purge" which Opi has claimed "I never considered it a PSOP record because of it's minimal horror themes." The second release was an EP entitled "Haunting". In the wake of these releases, Ezzo's life ended due to unknown circumstances. Opi is still haunted by Ezzo’s ghost to this day. Sectioning himself off, Opi began studying the dark world and incorporated it within his recordings. Unknown to anyone at the time, he had become possessed in the process. The insanity that plagued him prompted the long journey of putting PSOP on the stage. After practicing with different musicians for several months, it was evident that Toronto had become to saturated. PSOP needed to be developed elsewhere.

Amidst the shadowy music scene of Ottawa, Opi met two sinister figures who would create his live band. With Dead Boy on Bass and Bonez on Drums, an EP "The Dark Place" was released and the group solidified their live performance. Opi's nightmare was turning into a reality. With the intense theatrical nature of the stage show, attention surrounding the group began growing rapidly. The audience at shows was increasing steadily and Patron Saint Of Plagues began endorsing both W.B. Gear and S.I.T. Strings. After being featured in several interviews by sources such as CKCU FM and OttawaHorror.com, PSOP received radio play from Rue Morgue Radio. With the second full length album "Things Arn't What They Seem" completed, PSOP presents their songs in a horror anthology style. Their creepy manner and dark vision spreads across Canada like a plague.

Patron Saint Of Plagues has a dark energy, captivating demeanor, and terrifying visuals. The eerie atmosphere that they convey ensnares the senses and bends the mind. Their music is morbid, aggressive, and shocking, but has the hypnotic ability to make you move. Listen, if you dare.
